Our Staff

Executive Pastor

Philip joined the Goodnaz staff in August of 2003. His role as Executive Pastor involves him handing much of the business side of the church, working with the staff and preaching occasionally. When not at the church, he enjoys time with his wife Amy and their four children: Julia, Paul, Noah and Caroline. His favorite verse is Joshua 1:9.  “Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous.”

Connections & Teaching Pastor

Travis has been on staff at GoodNaz since January 2019. Travis oversees our First Impressions Teams, provides vision and direction for Connect Groups, and preaches in our sanctuary services. Travis gets the incredible opportunity of speaking at youth camps during the summer throughout the US. Travis and his family love the Nashville area and all that it has to offer. Travis loves being outside and active. His favorite passage of scripture is Psalm 23.

Youth Pastor

Joshua joined the staff of GoodNaz in March of 2014. His passions revolve around loving and leading His family to Jesus and encouraging others to do likewise. He currently oversees Student Ministries and Connections. Joshua and Jennifer have been married for 16 years and enjoy raising/playing with their 4 children: Sydney (13), Natalie (11), Audrey (9) and Gabriel (7).  If he gets any free time you can find him reading books, playing disc-golf and watching Notre Dame Football.

Children's Pastor

Shelley Oliver is the Children’s Pastor at GoodNaz. She joined our staff in September of 2005.  Her desire is to reach and teach children in such a way that they feel valued and loved so that they have the greatest opportunity to become fully developed followers of Christ. Shelley’s previous work at Corporate Child Care and The Family Center helped in preparing her for this role.  Shelley currently lives in Hendersonville with her husband Rhea and their 2 boys, Lawson and Landon.

Mothers Day Out Director

Casey joined our staff in August of 2014. She is in charge of our preschool department at Goodnaz.  This involves our weekly church services and our Mother's Day Out program as well. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking and anything Christmas. Her favorite scripture is John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Preschool & Events Director

Ashley has been on staff at GoodNaz since January 2019. She oversees our Preschool Ministry and plans events for the Children's Ministry as a whole. Ashley's desire is to help direct little hearts towards God and partner with parents to grow faith centered families. Ashley and her husband, Chris, live in White House with their three children: Cain (15), Will (13), and Bella (11). Together they love spending time outdoors. Her favorite verse is Psalm 40:1-3.

Office Administrator

Darlene is the Office Manager at GoodNaz, joining the team in 1982. She and her husband, Rick, enjoy spending time with their kids and grandkids. One of her favorite scriptures is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Office Assistant

Veronica joined our staff in 2012 part time, as an office assistant. Her main roles are to answer phones and to handle the rental of the facilities. As well as, assisting the other staff as needed. Veronica has volunteered in various capacities at the church since attending. They have two grown kids and enjoy three grandsons. Her favorite verse is Psalm 27:1.

Senior Adult Director

Jack joined GoodNaz in January 2014 following retirement as a full-time Nazarene Pastor for 30 years in Iowa, South Carolina and Ohio. Within six months, Jack was asked to become Senior Adult Director. In April of 2015, he was brought on as part-time staff serving as Senior Adult Pastor. He and his wife, Glenna, have two children, Chris (S. Carolina) and Cammi (Franklin, TN) and two grandchildren. Jack’s favorite verse is Isaiah 50:7 – “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.”
