TIM GATES
Senior Pastor

Tim has been the lead pastor of GoodNaz since June 2013.  Tim’s main responsibilities involve giving direction to leadership, casting vision & the primary teaching pastor. Tim is also a consultant & coach for churches across America helping them discover God’s unique call for their church through mission, vision, core value development & strategic planning. He is also asked to speak frequently for churches, conferences, or denominational events. One of Tim’s favorite scriptures is, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”


PHILIP SMITH
Executive Pastor

Philip joined the Goodnaz staff in August of 2003. His role as Executive Pastor involves him handing much of the business side of the church, working with the staff and preaching occasionally. When not at the church, he enjoys time with his wife Amy and their four children: Julia, Paul, Noah and Caroline. His favorite verse is Joshua 1:9.  “Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous.”



NICK ROBERTSON
Worship Pastor

Nick joined our staff in 2013 to serve as the Worship Pastor.  He is passionate about leading multi-generational worship that extends into everyday life.  Nick is a Dove Award nominated singer-songwriter.Nick is passionate about his family.  His wife, Shandie, and their kids - Colson, Davin, Jace, and Bennett reside in Hendersonville, TN.  These days, they find themselves on the soccer field and basketball court quite a bit.  His favorite verse is Acts 1:8.


JOSHUA BROWN
Youth/Connections Pastor

Joshua joined the staff of GoodNaz in March of 2014. His passions revolve around loving and leading His family to Jesus and encouraging others to do likewise. He currently oversees Student Ministries and Connections. Joshua and Jennifer have been married for 16 years and enjoy raising/playing with their 4 children: Sydney (13), Natalie (11), Audrey (9) and Gabriel (7).  If he gets any free time you can find him reading books, playing disc-golf and watching Notre Dame Football.


SHELLEY OLIVER
Children's Pastor

Shelley Oliver is the Children’s Pastor at GoodNaz. She joined our staff in September of 2005.  Her desire is to reach and teach children in such a way that they feel valued and loved so that they have the greatest opportunity to become fully developed followers of Christ. Shelley’s previous work at Corporate Child Care and The Family Center helped in preparing her for this role.  Shelley currently lives in Hendersonville with her husband Rhea and their 2 boys, Lawson and Landon.


CASEY COLEMAN
Preschool Pastor

Casey joined our staff in August of 2014. She is in charge of our preschool department at Goodnaz.  This involves our weekly church services and our Mother's Day Out program as well. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking and anything Christmas. Her favorite scripture is John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."


DARLENE ROBERTSON
Office Administrator

Darlene is the Office Manager at GoodNaz, joining the team in 1982. She and her husband, Rick, enjoy spending time with their kids and grandkids. One of her favorite scriptures is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”


VERONICA WESTERMANN
Office Assistant

Veronica joined our staff in 2012 part time, as an office assistant. Her main roles are to answer phones and to handle the rental of the facilities. As well as, assisting the other staff as needed. Veronica has volunteered in various capacities at the church since attending. They have two grown kids and enjoy three grandsons. Her favorite verse is Psalm 27:1.


Jack Carpenter
Senior Adult Director

Jack joined GoodNaz in January 2014 following retirement as a full-time Nazarene Pastor for 30 years in Iowa, South Carolina and Ohio. Within six months, Jack was asked to become Senior Adult Director. In April of 2015, he was brought on as part-time staff serving as Senior Adult Pastor. He and his wife, Glenna, have two children, Chris (S. Carolina) and Cammi (Franklin, TN) and two grandchildren. Jack’s favorite verse is Isaiah 50:7 – “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.”
